The whole complex was amaizing. The deal we got was unbelivable price. We were expecting adverage quality as we paid less than £100 for 2 night (room only). The complex is luxury however they don't bill themselves in this way(maybe they should) Our room was more than spacious and clean with good facilities. We have not found a hotel spa to this standard in the last 2 years and both of us were expecting a catch somewhere. My Fiance loves fishing and enquired with reception as there are 2 lakes, the resturant manager (Adam) came to advise me and escorted my fiance down to the lake and passed on tips. We are both in the Pub trade and are very critical of service and standards yet this hotel and team wow'd us both . Plus 2 pga golf courses wow
It was fine for what we wanted - a base to revisit old haunts in a district which we once knew well.
Location, room, facilities and the fact that there were various places within the hotel to eat. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Nothing I didn't like about this hotel.
My husband and myself stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was also very good.
Eating in the bar with a large party the staff struggled to get the correct orders out and there was a long wait for food. The cleaning/bed making was very late. I was in the shower getting ready for the wedding when they came so we sent the away. Hence the room was cleaned or the bed made. This was at noon so they had plenty of time to do this while we were out earlier.
We have stayed at the hotel on a number of times now and have always had a nice relaxing time and enjoy the area.
On this occasion things were not up to their usual standard. No hairdryer in the room and requested tea and milk for the room that was not delivered as stated it would be by the receptionist. We did raise these points on the room questionnaire provided.
the spa facilities were very good, room was big & very clean food was exellent & the location was superb
It was just so comfortable and relaxing, a great escape, and great value for money
This was our second stay at the Stoke By Nayland Hotel and once again we were not dissapointed. Staff, facilities and food all excellent. A comfortable place to stay for a special occasion without feeling that the hotel is " too posh " to relax. Well worth the money.
Very poor mobile reception caused a problem when my husband needed to receive an important business call.
I called and asked if I could get into my room early, that was not a problem, in all nothing was a problem, was a great stay. Breakfast was great, what a view from the restaurant window. I will be back again..
The staff were very courteous, especially the bar and waiter service in the restaurnat. The food was amazing.
The bed could do with replacing soon. Also a very minor thing but the toilet paper was very cheap which sort of spoilt the luxury feel of the bathroom.
The spa and the gym The room was also excellent.
I did not like the location, the dark lane
Roomy, clean, small details (quality of beds sheets etc) but above all, the marvellous staff team. Made my long business stay a real pleasure. Food good in restaurant too.
Very slow room heaters, if you forget to inform the staff and get your room 'pre warmed' you may have to sit in your overcoat for 10-15 minutes until it gets going, but hey, maybe it's an environmental thing! Breakfast bit uninventive, same every day.
A fine hotel in stunning surrounings with 2 golf courses attached. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel at home immediately.
Excellent staff, room was first class, spa facilities and pool superb.
Very pleasant short stay. Accomodation and food very good. Peacefull location.
